Sunday 22nd July - Vol. 24 No 27

CHILDREN
On Sunday we had a little hint of a summer that is still in hiding. Later that evening I went for a walk along Culdaff beach, so familiar to me since my own youth. Some young boys were kicking a ball about, others swimming in the sea; some children were making sand castles and this one little girl ,blissfully engrossed in her own fun and with shrieks of laughter, was dancing at the incoming surf, then looked with amazement at the pattern of her foot prints on the wet sand: she was lost in the ecstasy of that surge of excitement, wonder and discovery, under the admiring eyes of her mother – a moment of innocence and beauty – a hint, not just of summer but that Other Place where the ecstasy and wonder and dance will last forever.

SUNDAY MASSES during July, August and September will be as follows:
Vigil 6.00pm. 9.30am, 11.15am and 12.30pm.
